Googling

Remember seeing the cartoonish Google logos during special events, eg Beijing Olympics or Christmas? Apparently they were designed by one of their employees during his compulsory non-work related project (at Google, employees have to spend 20% of their work time (one day per week) on projects that interest them..ya, they are paid to unwind or relax themselves…so nice)..check out the nice logos http://www.google.com/holidaylogos.html….no wonder it is voted the best company to work for in 2008 and 2007...Ok, time to get back to serious stuff..till then, take k ppl:) For more info: www.google.com/intl/en/jobs/fortunemagazine.pdf

友情不能作比较2

Some friends did a lot for us but in return little is done for them, others we did likewise for them and yet others not only we didn't do much but we even accidentally hurt them.

Sort of moved into my new room a few weeks ago..used to be a store room..did a little bit of decorations..err...literally "very little" deco..lol

友情不能作比较

Human are special indeed ..Some friends..u just knew them for minutes and u can chat with them forever without needing to think of the next topic of conversation...others u have to try so hard and yet there will be those odd silent moments..some friends even when there is those silent moments, u still feel comfortable with each other without needing to break the silence...some friends we can have no worries about sharing our thoughts and feelings...some friends, even if we just didn't talk or meet for few weeks, there will instantly be an awkwardness or communication barrier...

A relationship that will last..against all the odds

Found these videos in you tube… They were the songs that accompanied me when I was in NZ..They gave me strength when I was defeated and filled me with peace when I was down..They also remind me of who I am when everything is well and good. Hope they will be an inspiration for u as well: )

Wall E

Photography

Photography…for me it’s just another brush to paint a picture or to tell a story..a photographer is also a good liar because a skillful one will show the audience what he/she wants them to see through the lens..lol. There are different views about what this art should be like though. Some says a conceptual photograph is the one to stay since a message or mood is conveyed. It makes u think. Others snaps only pictures with the perfect colours, tone, lighting and perspectives. I guess as an art form..it can consists of both. It doesn’t have to be ‘either’ ‘or’. None is inferior to the other. Of course I guess the best should consists of both.. but what’s the point of all this if we just go around snapping all the masterpieces if we don’t capture the moments of our lives? Most of the times, the random, unartistic everyday pictures are the ones that will leave us with the most memories when we look back at them..not the conceptual or the one with perfect colours or lightings. Imagine how unenjoyable a trip would be if we keep on snapping for the best art work and we miss the opportunity to sit back and enjoy the views with our own eyes. But sometimes I just can’t control my hands too..which annoys my friends who often seen me missing in action taking pictures. I used to hate people that edit their photos with softwares..to me that is unauthentic. But nowadays I believe having the editing by softwares brings in a whole new possibilities to photography.. it’s expanding the creativity of artists..

Photography is my passion although im not good at it.. it’s a way for me to release stress and to share with others what I see. Not quite sure why I write this posting though…lol..maybe im paying a tribute to all the cameras that served me beforeJ thank you cameras!! Ps: pls admit me to psy ward asap…

Secret

Can u keep a secret? Most of the time it’s totally not a big deal..its gossip or rumours anyway…it’s technically not a secret..but what if it is a big deal…maybe we don’t see it as such but the person whom the secret involves think it is or the person who told us think it is..so when the news broke out…we often won’t anticipate the damage done. What if by telling the ‘small secret’, the person who told us the secret is blamed by the person whom the secret involves in the first place. It’s a small world you see and it is not hard to notice who leak out the secret in the first place. We might not mind being blamed but have we think of the person who told us the secret because he/she trusted us not to tell. When people said ‘don’t tell others ya’..most of the time we will still tell simply because we can’t resist the temptation to gossip about it.. or simply because it’s not a big deal… I guess most of the time..since each of us always have best friends…after hearing a secret..we promised to ourselves that we will only tell 1 best friend..but our only best friend will also promised to just tell his/her best friend and cycle continues.. haha…im thinking too much here I guess…. But it’s quite true also.. Ya…it’s a balance…sometimes even when we are told not to tell others..we have to tell eventually because by not telling others, the matter will become worse (eg expert advice is needed or people closest to that person need to know it to help a that person)..but I guess it’s better for us choose not to tell when telling will further spread the unverified rumours, telling will make no difference or making things worse, it’s better for others not to know, or it’s a very private matter. Most of the time, its risk vs benefit…and it’s not easy to find the balance. For a lot of us, keeping a secret can be the hardest thing in the world....but we still do it because of ‘we have been trusted a secret’. But I guess for our own secrets or inner thoughts or feelings, it’s unhealthy to keep it to ourselves all the time unless telling it will cause more damage to others or ourselves. If not, why not find a friend that we can trust and pour our hearts out. Of course, for secrets others entrusted to us would be a different story. But we can’t generalize often as there are exceptions. May all of us make the best judgments, may we have the wisdom to do more good than harm and may all the decisions whether to tell or not to tell will be of good intention : )

Smile

1, 2,3 smile! When u practise this on yourself, you will find that your mood will dramatically change for the better. I have tried it after some of my friends told me about this a while ago and it really works. Don’t believe me? tried it for yourself! You can do it first thing in the morning, before having a meeting, seeing your employer or employee or client, going to work or coming back home. Smile is infective and a small gesture that you do will affect others for the better. When you smile, you’ll project a positive image and aurora, and your colleagues will thank you for that. And most importantly, most of the time your smile will come back to you in a positive way. So the next time we can’t help to put on a grumpy face, remember to put a cue to ourselves “1, 2, 3 smile!” and hopefully our and others mood will improve a little : )

Home Sweet Home

Yo yo
everyone!! Sorry for the very late update.. ya, I’m still on planet Earth!

It has been 8 months since I was back from New Zealand. Time really flies!! So what have I been up to all this while? Haha..Went to visit some friends and had a wonderful time with them…Sunway Lagoon, The Curve, Pavillion.. they even followed me back to Malacca! Sure was fun then… thoroughly enjoy the times I had with u all guys!! Hope u all don’t forget me since mos of u n nz now..lol..

Went to Putrajaya too for my interview with officer from JPA…which after 1 month or so…landed me with a job..in Malacca General Hospital.. where I am working now. Life has been a routine from then onwards..haha…sort of…but has been fun also most of the time. So what exactly is my day like in hospital? Basically since im still a provisionally registered pharmacist (PRP) I get to ‘travel’ around different department almost every month to absorb all the knowledge available for me…hmm..sounds like a plant or sponge here..lol..anyway..ya…one thing good about being a PRP is even though we don like a particular department, we will be gone to another different one before long..haha..but after this yr..when we are assigned to a fix department..if we don like that then..its too bad…coz we are stuck there for 3 yrs..sob2..coz for all registered pharmacist in Malaysia..we will have to work for 1 year to become fully registered pharmacist (FRP) and then another 3 yrs of compulsory service with government sector.

I had been to outpatient department (giving medicines to patient that are going home after seeing the doctors or discharging from wards after they are well), inpatient department (giving medicines to patients staying in hospital ward mainly due to more severe illness that require hospitalizations), medical store department (deals with purchase and distributing medicines and medical equipments of hospital and nearby clinics), drug information service (answers all kinds of queries that the hospital health professionals forwarded or from the public), therapeutic drug monitoring department (monitors the drug level in the circulation system of patients by running test on the blood collected from them and give recommendations to doctors) and currently in the cytotoxic drug department (calculate the appropriate doses and assist in preparation of anti-cancer drugs).

So the only routine here is work, work and more work.. besides working from 8 to 5 Monday to Friday..we have to work according to roasters too..sometimes came early for morning shift (7.30 to 8am), sometimes luch call (1-2pm), sometimes after 5 (5-6pm), sometimes night time (10pm to 7.30am), sometimes weekends (10am to 4pm)…and the newest to this collection of extra working hours is the 2 – 10pm shift…I wonder where should I park my car then since we have to be here quite early to get carpark in the morning…hmm..finding carpark at 2 would be a feat..haha..anyway…with all these I should be rich cos I work extra hours but guess what..we can’t claim for overtimes….lol..nway…I guess we can always look at the bright side…we will be more experienced with all these extra practice and we get to provide more services & care to the patients…FUYOH!! So noble!

But thank God… life in HM has been interesting so far..a lot of new things to learn since we kept on changing departments and meet new colleagues (esp for PRP). We have almost 40+ pharmacists and another 30+ support members (assistant pharmacists, trainees etc).. so it’s like a big family here…so far the seniors that I met had been very helpful…they are most of time happy to teach us…and the rumours of them being stingy of sharing knowledge with the juniors are minimal..had got to know a few good friends here too : ) But of course there are dramas, gossips and office politics too over here..haha..but can’t complain too much..i have heard worse scenarios else where…

Working has been to me…quite tiring…although I stay at home without having to worry about meals..but still every day after work I found myself too tired to do anything..haha..so most of the time, I just sit on the couch and watch tv…lazy bump here..lol..of course have to do some homework (we do have assignment and projects since we are provisionally registered aka under training)..but sometimes, few of us colleagues do go out for drink or catch a movie..hmm….maybe im the only one not being productive after work…sigh..have to start exercising and move my lazy bump…

Wow…talked so much about work…ya..ya..this is actually hinting that I have no life apart from work..haha…so wats up from here onwards? Hmm..im getting a new camera soon..hopefully…maybe an SLR ….trying to finish watching some tv series that I have borrowed…trying to read more…trying to start exercising more often…trying to learn some graphics related softwares…trying to reply emails and updates u all with myself more often…trying to be more involved in church activities…wow..so many trying…haha…hopefully will have some success stories behind all these tryings..haha..

So how bout u all out there? So sorry it took me so long to update anything about myself..as I have said…the tryings has been going on for a while.haha…will try harder next time to better manage my time :P okla, till we meet again, take care and God bless!! Do drop by to update me with the latest news about urself ya : )
